{"id":541,"date":"2021-06-29T13:21:59","date_gmt":"2021-06-29T13:21:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/drmeganargo.net\/?page_id=541"},"modified":"2022-03-15T11:20:05","modified_gmt":"2022-03-15T11:20:05","slug":"teaching-qualifications","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/drmeganargo.net\/index.php\/teaching\/teaching-qualifications\/","title":{"rendered":"Teaching qualifications"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In 2022 I was awarded\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.advance-he.ac.uk\/fellowship\/fellowship\">Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy<\/a>, professional recognition for educators in higher education who have demonstrated a deep understanding of how students learn and a commitment to professional development.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021 I completed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.open.ac.uk\/postgraduate\/qualifications\/c23\">Postgraduate Certificate in Online and Distance Education<\/a> through the Open University, earning a distinction. \u00a0I have also completed numerous short courses on the Microsoft Educator Center, LinkedIn Learning and FutureLearn on various teaching and technology-enhanced learning topics.<\/p>\n<p>I have attained both Practitioner and Advocate awards through <a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcapability.jiscinvolve.org\/wp\/2019\/03\/27\/sharing-a-transformational-approach-to-practice-informed-tel\/\">DigiLearn<\/a>, UCLan&#8217;s internal digital CPD scheme for academic staff, demonstrating both my own development in technology-enhanced learning, and my commitment to helping my colleagues develop their own TEL practice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2022 I was awarded\u00a0Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, professional recognition for educators in higher education who have demonstrated a deep understanding of how students learn and a commitment to professional development.
