We also look at future planned missions, and think about the gaps in our knowledge and how we might fill them. Module leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AA3050: DL astronomy dissertation<\/strong> &#8211; supervising distance learning students working their final dissertations at the end of their path through the University of Lancashire distance learning degree in astronomy. \u00a0Module leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AP3950: Third year physics\/astronomy BSc project<\/strong> \u2013 supervising on-campus students working on their BSc major research project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Research students<\/strong> &#8211; I am Director of Studies for a PhD student working on supernovae and their environments in both radio and optical regimes, together with Dr Joanne Pledger. I am also Director of Studies for an MSc student working on building and commissioning a new radio telescope at Alston Observatory.
